Gold is the most famous and sought-after precious metal.

Gold in its purest form is 24k Gold (24 out of 24 parts gold). However, 24k Gold is rarely used in crafting jewelry due to it being 100% pure gold, which is immensely soft and fragile, vulnerable to scratches and bends, making it an inefficient material for everyday jewelry creation. On the other hand, 10k-14k Gold jewelry makes an excellent choice for everyday use by blending a percentage of metal alloys with Gold giving it durability, strength, and form. Sterling Silver (925) is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals. After crafting our sterling silver jewelry, we then plate each piece with a layer of rhodium for extra shine and durability. As required by law, our Sterling Silver pieces are stamped with “925”.

Rhodium

Discovered in 1803, Rhodium(Rh) is an immensely rare noble, precious metal that is silvery-white, corrosion-resistant, tarnish-free, hypoallergenic, and a member of the Platinum family.

Rhodium is currently the most expensive precious metal on the planet, far more so than Platinum, Palladium, and Gold.

When used in plating jewelry, its advantages include bright, reflective quality enhancement to the overall appearance for a more vibrant, rich, and lustrous piece while also protecting against scratches and tarnish.

All our White Gold and Sterling Silver collections are plated and polished with a layer of Rhodium.
